LG in aggressive push for 3D market
LG Display believes that more than ten television manufacturers will use displays based on its 3D technology, according to a report on business news site, Bloomberg.

The company did not name the manufacturers but said
companies from China, the US, Japan and Europe had
started or would soon be buying its products.

LG Display’s
3D technology is based on Film-type Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology.
At the beginning of the year the company received
Flicker Free certification for its FPR 3D panel from TÜV
Rheiland.

Mr. Lee Jung Han, LG Display’s vice president and
head of TV promotion department said, “We plan to
lead the global 3D market by FPR 3D panels with dramatically reduced dizziness.”
