LG to show 55’ OLED display at CES
LG is planning to show the world’s largest OLED TV at CES 2012, in the shape of its 55” model.

The device weighs just 7.5 kg and is narrower than a
biro. The catch? It’s expected to be priced when its available at
the end of 2012, at a whopping $8000. Analysts expect that to
drop significantly over the following 24 months, so some time in 2016
it might actually be affordable. In the mean time, AV integrators
will have to wait and see if a pro version of the
technology is ever forthcoming. One thing that is pretty unclear from any
of the photos available is where any of the connectivity is, unless
signals are transmitted from the compulsory Korean model that accompanies all such shots.
