Lightware Visual Engineering has announced its environmental, social and governance (ESG) approach, reflecting the company’s commitment to integrating sustainability into its operations.
The company aims to embed sustainability into its business strategy, ensuring the longevity of its products by implementing comprehensive testing protocols, engineering
processes, and ongoing after-sales services such as technical support.
A guideline highlights how sustainability aspects are integrated into product design, aimed at
addressing factors such as energy efficiency, IT security, accessibility, and product lifespan.
To realise the company’s ESG objectives, Lightware has introduced a series
of sustainable practices across its operations, including energy-efficient product design, eco-friendly packaging, in-house design and manufacturing, as well as consolidated deliveries to
save fuel and decrease emissions and employee engagement by encouraging home working to reduce work-related journeys and to promote the use of green
transport options such as electric car-sharing programmes.
Lightware aims to expand its ESG activities in the future by strengthening sustainability initiatives, pursuing
additional memberships, and engaging in stakeholder dialogues.
The company will also expand sustainability awareness training for employees and the development of a company-wide
volunteering program, driven by dedicated ESG working groups.
Gergely Vida, CEO, Lightware, commented: "Lightware is also committed to continuous improvement, and we
look forward to working with all our stakeholders to further enhance our practices and make a positive contribution to a more sustainable business ecosystem."
