The Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) has submitted a planning application to the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) for its music and entertainment venue, MSG Sphere.
Plans for the 4.7-acre arena complex have been in the open for over a
year now and include programmable LED exterior “skin” and an adaptive sound system claimed to
target individual seats.
Here at Inavate our guess is that that sound system will
be from Holoplot. Back in September 2018, the company’s
CEO Roman Sick told us the
company had plans to develop its existing partnership with MSG as the company opens further
venues including one in London.
Other hints about technology included in the venue describe the
largest, highest-resolution media display on earth.
The site under question was a coach park
during the London 2012 Olympic Games and the venue would have a dimeter of 120
m and be 90m tall. It would seat 17,500 or up 21,500 with some standing space.
