Bruno Zamborlin, is an academic researcher who holds a Joint PhD in Arts and Computational Technologies between IRCAM/Centre Pompidou in Paris and Goldsmiths, University of London. As member of the RealTime Musical Interactions team at IRCAM and the Embodied AudioVisual Interaction team at Goldsmiths Digital Studios, he’s exploring new methods for gesture based interaction and its applications in performing arts and the creation of new musical instruments.
His latest project is called
Mogees, which uses gesture recognition to control
electronic musical instruments. Physical modeling is
used to convert the wave form of
sounds picked up by the microphone
into the audible output of the electronic
instruments.
