Midwich has appointed Nigel Thompson as product sales specialist for infrastructure to bring his experience on racks and surge elimination to the team.
With more than 27 years in distribution, Thompson has built his extensive knowledge working on
Middle Atlantic and SurgeX at RGB Communications and has provided advice to customers on the
importance of rack ventilation and protection of equipment.
Thompson said: “My goal is to highlight the
significance of having the right infrastructure within a project and this includes racks, surge elimination, lighting
control, and cable management. There are so many options available, and it can be easy
to miss key aspects when specifying. I aim to streamline this process by helping our customers
to identify what they need early on and, therefore, find their perfect solution to what is
the central place for where kit is installed, including how to protect it."
In his
new role, Thompson will be focusing on the Lutron, Middle Atlantic and SurgeX product portfolios at Midwich.
