Multilingual online meeting company KUDO has secured $6 million (approximately €5 million) in seed funding to grow its engineering product and customer success teams.
Inavate first reported on the Manhattan startup in 2019 when we
broke the news of the new platform to
the AV integration community. Since then we’ve watched the company develop the platform and go from strength-to-strength. We’ve even hosted
multilingual KUDO webinars ourselves on the
Room XIX at the United Nations’ Palais des Nations in Geneva and the award-winning
Abcam HQ .
Now, the company has raised funds from Felicis Ventures, ID8 Investments, Global Founders Capital, Advancit Capital and
AirAngels.
KUDO is already supplying services for the United Nations, the World Bank, Interpol, NATO, the Council of Europe. It hopes
the cash injection will further its ability to serve high profile clients.
Fardad Zabetian, founder and CEO of KUDO, said:
“We have created a fully-equipped virtual multilingual conference room in the cloud.
“It’s like what you see at the United
Nations, only online. People listen and speak in their own language while expert interpreters render what the participants say into many
other languages.”
Interpreters connect to these virtual meetings from their homes or from a growing network of KUDO studios around the world.
