MultiTouch will celebrate its fifth anniversary and reveal the latest developments in its touch products when it holds its annual partner summit in Helsinki on September 12, 2012.
The event will be aimed at the company’s resellers and developer partners as well as creative agencies and end users and will
reveal new interactive display products, including a new MultiTaction Cell, from MultiTouch.
Selected MultiTouch European sales and integration partners will explain how they
have utilised MultiTouch products. Steve Blyth, CEO of UK-based Engage Production will discuss the use of MultiTaction Cells in building the what has
been claimed as the world’s largest multi-touch videowall.
Other highlights promise to include Kai Kuikkaniemi, project manager at the Helsinki Institute for Information
Technology, demonstrating how a bubble wall can be used for playful browsing.
"We’re expecting a huge turnout," said Petri Martikainen, CEO of MultiTouch.
"Developments in multi-touch technology is happening at such a rapid pace that it’s understandable that some find it difficult to keep up. This
summit gives delegates the chance to really get to grips with what we’ve been doing over the past year and how these changes
affect them."
The summit comes a day after the Cornerstone developer conference, which also takes place at MultiTouch’s Helsinki offices. Developers can learn
how to use Cornerstone to create large format multi-touch applications.
MultiTouch will crown the event with its fifth anniversary party on the evening of the 12th.
