Japanese news site, The Nikkei, has reported that NEC is set to unveil a technology that rapidly changes low-resolution analogue video in to HD video. The site, that covers Japanese technology developments, said the NEC solution would be 17 times faster than currently available conventional options.
An example was
detailed that suggested the
new technology could convert one
hour of anologue into
HD video in 10
hours.
Current reports say
that NEC will improve the
technology before offering it
to broadcasters and individual users.
