New class-d amplifier modules
Powersoft has announced the D-Cell504 amplifier module. The stereo amplifier unit can deliver up to 350W @ 4 Ohm per channel in SE mode, 700W @ 8 Ohm in bridged mode.

The unit features six different types of protections,
load monitoring for transducer diagnostics and an optional 2in/4out
SigmaDSP processor (you need only one DSP to
manage two amp units), easily programmable with Analog Devices’
Sigma Studio.

One of the key advantages of the
D-Cell504 is the versatility leant to it by the
ability of its power supply to drive two
amplifier units. The allows the user to easily power
bi-amped systems, stereo or mono loudspeakers as well as multistage systems.
