Palm Expo China 2015 is scheduled to be held in Beijing, China at the old China International Exhibition Centre (CIEC). Informa Exhibitions, the organiser for the tradeshow, cancelled the event and later reversed its decision.
The 24th Palm Expo China 2015 was to be held from August 19
to August 22, 2015. The city of Beijing will be hosting the World Athletics Championships
and the 70th anniversary commemoration of victory celebrations related to World War II during
August 15 till September 22, 2015.
The confusion was caused due to the fact that
Informa Exhibitions was unable to obtain security clearance for the Palm show at the
old CIEC. Reaching out to the exhibitors, it was ascertained that moving the venue or
delaying the show were not preferred options. Hence the show has been cancelled.
However,
soon after the initial statement, the organiser issued another stating that the venue has been
secured and the show will go on as planned. Informa Exhibitions also apologised for any inconvenience caused.
