Glasses that can wirelessly transmit video and audio content of what the user is seeing are being tipped for use in automotive and healthcare applications. PairASight is a Michigan startup that integrates a small 1080p HD video camera and a two-way audio communication system into glasses and streams content to the user's smartphone. From here, a professional in the field can transmit their view to anywhere in the world.
Telecommunications to and from field operatives
is becoming increasingly sought after as companies
try and maximise specialists time and reduce
their travel requirements.
The PairASight system will
be particularly attractive as it allows
hands-free operation by the user in the
field.
PairASight is still in prototype stage
but won praise at the recent CE
Week in New York where it scooped a Technovation award.
