Powersoft dynamic music distribution brings a fresh take to high-end bakery
Renowned Dutch baker, Eric van Otten, established a new food concept for a patisserie, powered by Powersoft’s dynamic music distribution system.

Van Otten offers a number of places to sit and enjoy, with an outdoor patio, ice cream parlour and a number of private spaces to
enjoy fresh baked delights. Each space is fitted with sounds that enhance the overall dining experience.

Audio distributor, Mennegat, was approached to create a multifunctional retail
and hospitality space, specifying Powersoft’s dynamic music distribution (DMD) system, enabling the creation of several zones by dividing a space. Every channel of a Mezzo amplifier
can be redirected to a music zone and can be controlled individually.

The interface is made up of two WM Touch panels for a more user-friendly
experience. One WM Touch is used to control the shop and restaurant, with another managing the outside patio area.

Non-technical employees can operate the WM touch panel
easily, with the entire sound system deployed easily through offsite pre-configuration of the user interface.

The install also includes 14 Sonance professional series PS-S63T surface mount
speakers and a Biamp internet radio.

Eric van Otten, owner, pâtissier and bread specialist, Van Otten, commented: “I’m really surprised at the end result and did
not expect this audio installation to be as impressive as it is. The music provides privacy, so our guests can talk freely with each other. Empty
spaces in the restaurant have been filled with warm, welcoming sounds. Besides this, we can select a choice of music that will contribute to the overall experience.”
