The RAI Amsterdam Forum is now equipped with eight Powersoft Unica amplifiers, designed to reduce energy consumption and operating costs while enhancing sound quality and reliability at the venue.
The goal was to replace the venue’s aging amplifiers which had deteriorated over time and led to operational failures in the venue’s line array system.
Van Brienen AV was selected to carry out the overhaul, specifying Powersoft’s Unica amplifier platform.
The old amplification system had to be removed with minimal disruption, condensing the pre-existing two full ranks of equipment with Powersoft’s Unica’s condenses single half-rack setup. This upgrade dramatically reduced space consumption without compromising on power output.
The new system is comprised of six Unica 5K4 and two Unica 9K4 four-channel amplifiers which power eight Electro-Voice XLD281, eight XLE181 and four X1i-212/90 line array speakers, two XSUB-F line array subwoofers and four Xi-1082 loudspeakers.
The amplifiers are fully integrated with Powersoft’s ArmoníaPlus software, allowing for remote configuration, real-time monitoring and DSP tuning.
