Prolight + Sound has announced that it will not continue with a physical presence in Frankfurt due to “insufficient demand”.
Prolight + Sound originally intended to feature its own themed area at the upcoming Light + Building
2026 event held at the Messe Frankfurt, with some Prolight + Sound exhibitors deciding to present their products
and systems directly at Light + Building in the future.
The Prolight + Sound brand will remain outside
of Frankfurt, with Prolight + Sound Guangzhou to take place in China, as well as the premiere Prolight
+ Sound Bangkok which will take place in 2026. Prolight + Sound celebrated its 30th show anniversary
show in 2025, attracting a plethora of AV industry audio and lighting brands from across the world.
In
a statement, the Prolight + Sound team said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank you
very much for your understanding, your commitment and your constructive, open cooperation.
“It is at times like these
that we particularly appreciate your support. We would be delighted to welcome you to one of our international events.”
