UK distributor RGB has bolstered its projector line-up, signing new brands, NEC and Canon and appointing Jane Hammersley as projection and displays division manager.
RGB has announced the new brands less than four months after projectiondesign revealed
it would be ending its agreement with the distributor to go direct in the UK
market.
NEC and Canon join Barco in the RGB projector division, which will be
headed by Hammersley, previously UK market manager at PolyVision.
Gordon Innocent, chairman of RGB,
said projectiondesign’s exit had timed well with the newly signed brands launching products that would
complement projectors that RGB can offer from Barco’s portfolio.
Neil Hartigan, NEC channel director,
explained that NEC was completing its projector offering with a range of high end
professional products and felt RGB’s expertise made it an “obvious choice” for a UK distribution
partner.
NEC has launched the PA, PX and PH series projectors for high-end applications that require high-brightness solutions.
