Sarner International has announced that it has designed, produced and installed an Ernest Shackleton exhibition for the Royal Geographical Society in London.
The exhibition, titled Shackleton’s Legacy and the Power of Early Antarctic Photography, focuses on polar
explorer Ernest Shackleton to mark the hundredth year since Shackleton’s death.
The exhibition comes amid the
discovery of Shackleton’s lost ship, the Endurance, was discovered largely intact on the Antarctic seabed.
The
project was designed, produced and installed by Sarner, relying on existing assets from a touring exhibition
produced by the company in 2015.
A selection of content was modified to fit the updated
interpretive angle, examining Shackleton’s life and legacy, whilst the core of the exhibition focuses on Shackleton’s
rescue of the ‘Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition’ party.

focused on highlighting the existing qualities of the materials on display, translating their intrinsic value into the space”.
