Sharp Europe has announced the appointment of Joe (Yoichi) Tomota to the position of president to lead its business, which includes Sharp NEC Display Solutions in Europe.
Headquartered in London, Sharp Europe serves customers in both the private and
public sectors, as well as education and government, with a portfolio ranging from
printers and other advanced technologies, collaboration platforms, through to IT services. Sharp Europe
is part of Sharp Corporation, a global technology company employing over 46,000 people
worldwide.
Tomota has extensive international experience with nearly 30 years of expertise in
industrial design, innovative technology development, manufacturing, and sales. His career at Sharp has
included 10 years at overseas subsidiaries and roles that championed innovation in MFP
controls, large display formats and substantial time as part of the business planning
function at Sharp Corporation. His most recent role was as VP at Sharp Europe.
