The Nikkei business daily has reported that Sharp is taking legal action against the Hisense Group allegedly as a result of selling TV sets in North America under the Sharp brand.
Sharp filed a federal lawsuit and
action with a US based trade body,
after supposedly “low quality” TVs were sold
under the Sharp brand, which is licensed
by Nikkei, however no sources have
been cited.
Sharp had previously asked the
US International Trade Commission to investigate Wi-Fi
enabled devices and parts after Sharp accused
Hisense of infringing on the company’s patents.
