Sonic Days conference returns with packed programme of guests
Sound and sound design will take centre stage when the 2023 Sonic Days conference takes place at Sonic College, a facility built to train technical audio professionals in Kolding, Denmark, on September 13-14.

Sonic College will present a conference programme with over 60 presentations organised into different tracks: podcasts, game audio, sound for film, sound in museums and immersive music.

Each track will feature up to ten presentations, visitors have the option to choose multiple tracks or follow one.  Sonic Days offers visitors the chance to meet Peter Albrechtsen, sound designer for films, who will discuss his sound design for the horror film ‘Evil Dead Rise’. Albrechtsen has been nominated for several Oscars and will be featured in panel debates at the conference.

Visitors can also meet Morten Linberg, producer and sound engineer, who has 42 Grammy nominations. Lindberg will discuss how he sets up his recording studio with microphones that give the listener the feeling they are in the middle of an orchestra and will feature on debates surrounding sound mixing and production. There are many more names listed on the programme that specialise in their respective fields, the conference is free of charge and more information can be found on the Sonic Days website here.

Inavate covered Sonic College’s facilities in a case study last year, with Anna Mitchell travelling to Denmark to explore the sound systems and architecture employed in the educational facility. The project also won the 2023 Inavation Award for Best Education Project. Read more about Sonic College here.
