Sony to sponsor exhibition at Ikkan Art Gallery, Singapore
Sony has announced that it will be the official projection sponsor for the “Moving Light, Roving Sight” exhibition hosted by the Ikkan Art Gallery in Singapore.  The exhibition is scheduled to last from January 22 to February 18, 2015

As part of their involvement, Sony will supply nine units of its VPL-FHZ55 3LCD WUXGA laser
projector and a single unit of its VPL-GTZ1 4k ultra-short throw projector to the gallery for use
during the exhibition.

The VPL-FHZ55 projectors will be employed in the digital interactive installation “Flowers and People,
Cannot be Controlled but Live Together – Dark” by ultra-technologist group teamLab. The installation is an immersive
experience delving into the relationship between nature and humanity.

The VPL-GTZ1 4k ultra-short throw projector will be
used to showcase art in 4k resolution by Naoko Tosa, a Japanese media artist.

Ikkan Sanada, director
of the Ikkan Art Gallery, said: “Without Sony’s new laser projectors, installation of artwork with floor projection
for our exhibition could not have been achieved with such ease. We are extremely grateful to Sony’s
new technology, which has exceeded our expectations with crisp and clear images projected, plus superior flexibility of installation.”
