Tinker Imagineers played a key role in designing the new Van Gogh Village Museum in Nuenen, the Netherlands, focused on the life and work of famed artist van Gogh during the Nuenen period.
Inaugurated by Dutch Queen Máxima, Tinker Imagineers delivered an interactive experience by taking
responsibility for the redesign and expansion of the exhibitions after previously designing the former
Vincentre in 2010.
The architectural design of the building was handled by Diederendirrix.
The
museum offers an interactive experience for visitors, tracing Vincent van Gogh’s footsteps across three
thematic floors, leading to the creation of van Gogh’s first masterpiece, The Potato
Eaters.

A new interactive experience centred around light takes centre stage at the new
exhibition; titled Vincent’s Light Lab, visitors can relive van Gogh’s experience of light through
five experients, exploring the concept of colour, light and what can really be seen.
The museum also collaborates with other van Gogh sites in Noord Brabant which are currently undergoing renovation.
