Sales of Toshiba’s glasses free TVs have flopped in Japan, according to a report by English language newspaper, The Japan Times.
Sets went on sale in late
December and the newspaper reported the company
had only sold 500 20” models and even
less of its 12” version.
With consumers
shunning the technology questions will be asked
about its viability in the professional market.
Furthermore, if Toshiba cannot generate the sales volume
that it requires then it will not
be able to lower the product’s currently high cost.
