Julian Treasure, chairman of The Sound Agency and regular speaker at TED conferences will kick off the xSolutions 2011 seminar programme with a take on how sound can transform business operations.
In his talk, on October 19 at London’s ExCeL, Treasure will argue that many businesses are losing sales, productivity, loyalty and brand value every day
by making unplanned, undesigned noise.
The Sound Affects! Session will open up the proceedings of the InAVate Live theatre on the first day of the inaugural
two day event. It will highlight the profound effects sound has on us all and demonstrate that most people are unconscious of its power.
Iain McLean, director
of xSolutions, said: "This is a great example of what our team is bringing to the table on top of the behind the scenes investment we
are making to ensure the UK market finally has an independent event of its own.
“With a further two educational streams, Technology and Business; manufacturer training
and market leading technology and associations on the show floor it's certainly an impressive event and we look forward to welcoming all our visitors who are
also looking to drive their business forward.”
Delegates will learn
- The four ways sound affects us all
- The Golden Rules of commercial sound
- Five ways to improve
your listening - The top three common mistakes with business sound installations
Treasure has more 30 years' experience in business, marketing and sound, working with clients such
as Harrods, Nokia, BAA, Marks & Spencer, BP and Coca-Cola. He speaks around the world and is one of very few people with three talks on the TED.com website.
