US Army gives AR goggles to war dogs
The US Army is trialling augmented reality goggles for its combat dogs to allow the dogs to receive orders remotely.

US army dogs are often used as explosive
scouts, searching for potential hazards with instructions from their handlers,
operating at a short distance from the dogs, using
hand signals or laser pointers to instruct the animals.

The goggles, developed by US company Command Sight, could allow
dogs to see visual indicators that they are trained
to follow, directing the dogs to a specific location
of interest. The handler would be able to view what
the dog can see through a remote video feed.
