The market for video surveillance hardware will be worth $15bn by 2014 according to market intelligence firm In-Stat.
Revenue from analogue cameras, IP cameras,
DVR/NVR, and IP encoders regained its 2008
position last year, following a downturn in
2009.
The firm believes that the Asia/Pacific
region will lead the way in shipments of
surveillance camera units, but that it will
be lower than both America and EMEA
in terms of revenue due to lower
prices for both cameras and systems in the region.
