WAVIT (Women in AV/IT) has named Alexandra Garip of AVI-SPL as the first-ever recipient of the Mary Cook Empowerment Award: Designing the Future—a scholarship created to honor the legacy of AV trailblazer Mary Cook.

in collaboration with AVIXA, this scholarship
offers a full InfoComm 2025 experience, celebrating
Garip’s passion for AV system design, commitment
to inclusion, and promise as a
future leader in the ProAV industry.
The
award will be recognised at InfoComm 2025
in Orlando, including special programming and
a WAVIT Meet-up & Mingle on June 11.
