Winter NAMM 2021 will not be taking place in January 2021 according to NAMM president and CEO Joe Lamond, instead hosting its Believe in Music virtual event from 20-23 January 2021.
Lamond commented: “We held off as long as we could but the
reality is, there is no path forward at this time to bring our industry
family together safely in southern Califronia at the NAMM show. It is the
first time we have not had a physical gathering in almost 80 years.”
A market place will be provided as well as networking with AI-faciliated matchmaking for
buyers and sellers, alongside music fundraising.
“Nothing compares to the excitement of our
global family reunion at the NAMM show, this foray into the virtual world
has been an exciting project and, in some ways, could bring new value to
all involved.
NAMM Believe in Music week will take place from 18 January 2021.
