Opportunities at the 2014 Brazilian World Cup will be high on the agenda at Stadia and Arena 2010 as the London based show welcomes speakers heavily involved in the sporting event’s organisation. Carlos de la Corte, from the Brazilian 2014 World Cup Committee will address attendees to the exhibition’s conference programme on June 3, 2010.
De la Corte will be joined by Benadicto Barbosa da Silver Junior, the vice president of Infra Estrutura da
Odebrecht Engenharia e Construçâo, the engineering company that will prepare Brazil’s stadia for the World Cup in 2014 and the
2016 Olympic Games.
Both speakers are key players in the organisation of the prestigious international football tournament and attendees interested
in opportunities at the event should head to the seminar at 16.15 in London’s Excel centre.
De la Corte graduated as
an architect in 1994 and boasts an impressive career both in Brazil and abroad. He is respected across the world
as an expert on sports facilities and served as special advisor to the Ministry of Sports of Brazil, in 2002.
The comprehensive two-day conference, June 2 to 4, follows a tour of London’s Olympic Park and will open with a
keynote speech from Sir Craig Reedie of the International Olympics committee. Other highlights of the programme include a speech from
Kevin Owens, head of venue design for the 2012 London Games and a technology session on “LED Media Facades for Sports Stadia”.
