MMD, the marketer and reseller for Philips-branded LCD monitors and public displays, has launched a 55†digital signage display, the BDL5571V.
It has a full HD 120Hz IPS panel and a “One Wire” solution. This allows high definition video and image files, as well as audio, to be sent from the media player to the display whilst at the same time allowing the user to control and configure the display, all via an HDMI cable. Therefore one single cable is needed for all daily operations.
A slide-in DVI-out module is available as an optional extra. This allows users to create a 3 x 3 video matrix capable of full high definition content. Third party DVI splitters and switches provide opportunities to grow the video wall further.
It has a 19mm bezel and a Smart Insert on the rear panel that allows system integrators to install a small form factor PC without any addition to the overall depth of the display.
The 120Hz IPS panel offers undistorted views across a 178 degree vertical and horizontal spectrum. QR code recognition allows user interaction.
A Smart Power feature can reduce power consumption.
The BDL5571V will be on show at the Philips booth (12C80 in the Digital Signage Hall) at Integrated Systems Europe between February 1 and 3.
