Autodesk has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire cloud based, XR platform The Wild.
The deal also includes The Wild’s namesake solutions including IrisVR. The
platform enables construction, engineering and architectural professionals to view and collaborate on projects
in cloud-based, extended reality environments.
The acquisition was made at a time
of converging events for Autodesk, with a future focus on the metaverse to
advance XR technology within the AEC industry.
