Brompton processors enable next-gen virtual production
La Planète Rouge, a team of 3D and VFX set designers, aimed to create The Next Stage, designed to be a landmark virtual production studio powered by Brompton LED video processing.

The Next Stage is home to a custom-made LED screen made by
ArtBox, powered by Brompton LED video processing technology.

The U-shaped volume with an
LED ceiling is designed as a mobile set up, using ArtBox’s Hydra camera, used
with Brompton’s dynamic calibration technology for greater brightness, improved colour gamut, and the
ability to display HDR imagery.

10 Brompton Tessera SX40 LED processors were used
in the production control room, supporting the 2.5 pitch ArtBox LED videowall, offering
a frame-rate of up to 200fps for slow motion.

The studio’s product offering also
includes nine servers for rendering in real-time using a Disguise system, Unreal Engine
5.3, a Sony FX9 camera, and an Nvidia A6000 and RTX 4090 graphics card.
