The consumer electronics business is in a frenzy this week as the trade show year kicks off with CES 2011.
The show sets the agenda for the year in consumer electronics with
major keynote addresses from all the major players including Panasonic, Microsoft, Sony
and Cisco.
So far the news coming out from the show floor shows
a massive focus on 3D technologies (see our news story from Samsung)
as well as a frenzy surrounding the tablet PC market place. Many commentators
are already dubbing 2011 the year of the tablet as vendors scramble
to catch up with Apple’s iPad.
Whilst much of the product on view
isn’t directly relevant to pro AV I’ll guarantee that the technology behind
it is and will be making its way into your lives over the next 12-18 months.
