Lillidorei, a new family play-world, has opened at The Alnwick Garden, Northumberland. The project was installed by Southby Productions with work from theatre sound designer, Gareth Fry.
Lilidorei delivers an enchanted world inhabited by
invisible creatures, with each zone encapsulating a different theme.
The d&b Soundscape immersive audio system allows the
creatures to come to life.
The Soundscape output
was copied to the individual Q-Sys systems controlling each
zone’s playback. The playback comes from over 300
of d&b’s xS Series loudspeakers including 5S, 4S
and the Bi8 subwoofer. The whole system is powered
by 82 of d&b’s 4-channel install amplifier, the 5D.
