The 40 Leadenhall skyscraper in the heart of London’s financial district features an installation of four custom LED arches by Dynamo LED Displays, which have transformed the building’s main foyer into a digital showcase.
Dynamo LED Displays has delivered four LED arches, each 7.38 meters high and 1.48 metres
wide, recessed into the walls to create the illusion of digital Georgian windows.
At the core
of this project lies Dynamo’s 1.9mm DRA Series, each arch boasts a resolution of 768 pixels wide
by 3840 pixels high, ensuring an immersive visual experience. A specially designed resin covering further enhances
performance, optimising colour balance, contrast, and grayscale accuracy.
The system is powered by a Novastar H2
video processor and a Pixera media server, running on a DVS 4U SWARM4-2C4K10G-A4000 Pro+ Interactive PC.
Unlike conventional LED screens, the 40 Leadenhall digital arches were custom-engineered to seamlessly fit within the intricate
brickwork of the building. To achieve this level of customisation, Dynamo LED Displays designed and manufactured special
custom circuit boards, allowing the LED modules to conform to the exact curvature of the digital arches.
