3D projection can have a profoundly positive effect on how students learn, according to results of a Texas Instruments (TI) funded study that were released today.
TI DLP Products were involved in the research project that took place
across seven European countries and involved 740 students aged between 10 and
13 years old.
The research team, led by Professor Anne Bamford, director of
the International Research Agency, claimed to prove that nearly half of students taught
purely with 2D resources failed to improve at all over a period
of six to eight weeks.
This contrasted sharply to the 86% that did
improve when 3D was implemented into their normal classes.
Speaking at the London
launch of the research project, Professor Bamford noted that the 3D learning
engaged and inspired pupils but said the highest praise for the resource came from the teachers.
