Panasonic to bring 4K in-flight entertainment to Airbus fleet
Panasonic Avionics Corporations has signed an agreement with Icelandair to install its Astrova in-flight entertainment (IFE) system and a suite of digital products on the airline’s new fleet of Airbus A321neo LR aircraft.

Panasonic’s Astrova seat-end IFE system will be installed throughout Icelandair’s
A321neo passenger planes, with 16-in monitors in business class and 13-in screens
in economy.

The system incorporates 4K OLED screens with high-fidelity audio,
accessible through Panasonic’s Bluetooth technology.

Icelandair will also receive a compliment
of digital systems from Panasonic Avionics, including Marketplace, OneMedia, ArcTM Moving Map
and ZeroTouchTM.

Tómas Ingason, chief operating officer. Icelandair commented: “This partnership
with Panasonic Avionics brings our passenger experience to the next level.
