Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina, USA still remains unchallenged after claiming to have erected the world’s largest HD display. The enormous Panasonic LED screen is 200 ft wide, 80 ft tall and contains nine million LED lamps. One hundred-and-fifty-eight panels make up the 720p video board that is used at select events at the race track.
Ralph Dale Earnhardt,
Jr., professional NASCAR driver
and team owner, unveiled the
display using the iRacing
simulation programme to demonstrate
a racing game on
the screen.
The project took
11,000 man hours, and
more than four months to complete.
